The Katin story
Katin got its start in 1954 when Nancy and Walter Katin opened a small boat cover business called Kanvas by Katin in Surfside, California, just north of Huntington Beach. Raised along the California coast, Katin became a staple of Southern California surf culture and holds the title of one of California's first brands to make surf trunks, a legacy that carries through its apparel today.
