What wetsuit thickness do I need in Florida?

For most of the year a 1.5mm or 2mm jacket, vest or springsuit is plenty. Save a 3/2mm fullsuit like the Hyperfreak or E-Bomb for cold fronts and cooler travel destinations.

What is the difference between chest zip and back zip?

Chest-zip suits seal tighter and flush less water, while back-zip suits like the Rip Curl Omega are easier to get on and off.
