Private Parties

Island Water Sports hosts private parties and group events on the water and on the concrete across South Florida. Pick a surf, skate, or skimboard session for the group, or book ocean tubing out of Boca Raton, and our instructors handle the coaching and the gear while you handle the guest list. Events We Host

Groups book us for birthdays, corporate team building days, school and camp field trips, graduation celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette gatherings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and family reunions. If your group wants a few hours on the water together, we can usually build a session around it.

Surf Party

A 1.5 hour group surf session taught by our instructors, with boards included. Guests spend time on the sand covering safety and technique, then get in the water.

2 Students: $85 per student
3 - 6 Students: $75 per student
7 - 12 Students: $60 per student
13 - 24 Students: $45 per student
25 or more Students: $35 per student

Skate Party

A 1 hour group skate session with our skate staff, covering everything from first pushes to refining tricks. Discounts start at groups of 4 or more.

2 Students: $65 per student
3 - 6 Students: $55 per student
7 - 12 Students: $45 per student
13 - 24 Students: $35 per student

Skimboard Party

A 1 hour group skim session at the shoreline, taught by instructors who compete in the sport. Skimboarding gets beginners riding quickly because it all happens in ankle-deep water.

13 - 24 Students: $35 per student

Ocean Tubing Party in Boca Raton

A guided ocean tubing party at $550 for 2 hours. We run the session for you with all safety equipment included and a 10x10 Island Water Sports shade tent on the beach. This is a staffed package rather than a rental, so we do not hire out the jet ski or the tube on their own. Call 954-427-4929 and we will size the session to your group and answer any questions about riders and weight limits.

Party FAQ

How many people can join a private party?

Group sessions are priced in tiers from 2 students up to 25 or more, so parties scale from a small family group to a full school or team. Tell us your headcount on the booking form and we will match instructors to the group.

How far in advance should I book a party?

The earlier the better, especially for weekend dates and school holidays. Send the booking request form on this page or call 954-427-4929 and we will confirm instructor and equipment availability for your date.

What is included in a surf, skate, or skim party?

Instruction from our professional staff and all the equipment for the session. Guests bring a towel, sunscreen, a rash guard or extra t-shirt, and a camera.

Can you host a corporate team building event?

Yes. Corporate groups are one of our most common bookings, alongside birthdays, school and camp field trips, graduation celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette gatherings, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

Do you host parties at more than one location?

We run sessions from all four of our South Florida shops and the beaches beside them, and ocean tubing runs out of Boca Raton. Tell us which area suits your guests and we will confirm what we can host there.

What ages can take part?

Five years old is our recommended starting age for board lessons. Ocean tubing has its own rider and weight rules, so call us and we will confirm what works for your group.
