Is this jewelry waterproof for swimming and surfing?

Pura Vida string and woven bracelets are designed to be worn wet and only get softer over time, which is why surfers and beachgoers love them. For plated metal pieces like rings and chains, we recommend rinsing after saltwater and removing them for heavy surf to protect the finish.
