Katin was founded in 1954 when Nancy and Walter Katin opened a small boat cover business in Surfside, California, just north of Huntington Beach. Raised along the California coast, the founders built Katin into a staple of Southern California culture, and the brand still takes pride in its title as one of California's first to make surf trunks, carrying that same commitment to high-quality, durable goods into its tees.
