Parking & Access

The park sits at 1200 S. Crandon Blvd. in Key Biscayne, reached over a causeway that carries a toll. Parking is covered by the state park entry fee, and spaces are easy to find outside of peak weekend crowds.

Rules & Safety

There are no lifeguards on duty at Bill Baggs, so swim at your own risk and keep an eye on kids in the water. Rocks near the lighthouse are a hazard for barefoot walkers and swimmers. Dogs are not allowed. The park's piers have been closed for repairs since 2023, though shoreline fishing along the beach is still fine. On busy weekends and holidays the park closes to new arrivals once it fills up and stays closed for at least two hours, so get there early.

The historic Cape Florida Lighthouse is the park's centerpiece, with the beach itself south-facing and calm. Snorkeling near the rocks by the lighthouse is rated good, and paddleboarding is allowed along the shoreline. Restrooms, showers, grills, and picnic areas round out the park.
