The footbed uses a dual-layer rubber construction: a 0.5mm rubber layer across the bed for flex where you need it most, and a reinforced 1mm rubber layer in the critical high-wear zones that take the most impact and abrasion. This layered approach keeps the boot supple underfoot so your rail-to-rail feel stays sharp, while the reinforced areas extend the life of the boot well beyond what a single-layer construction can manage.
