Performance Core Construction
PC stands for Performance Core, FCS's entry point into performance-grade fin materials. The construction uses a solid polycarbonate base that provides consistent flex return and durability across a range of conditions. PC fins are stiffer than fibreglass composites, which translates to more predictable drive and hold, particularly in punchy or powerful surf where you want the fin working with you rather than flexing unpredictably underfoot.
The White-Flame finish gives the set a clean, translucent body with FCS's signature honeycomb graphic in a gradient from yellow through orange to red, visible through the foil on each fin.
FCS II Tool-Free System
These fins use the FCS II plug-and-click system. There are no tools, no screws, and no fin key required. The fin tabs click directly into FCS II compatible boxes, held by a tab and cam mechanism that locks under load and releases with a simple push. Installation and removal take seconds, which matters when conditions change or you are travelling between boards.
FCS II boxes are found on a large proportion of performance shortboards worldwide. If your board runs FCS II plugs, these fins drop straight in.
The CI Upright Template
The Channel Islands template is characterised by an upright rake angle and a moderately swept base. Upright fins sit closer to vertical through the water column, which increases pivot and makes it easier to initiate and complete tight turns. The CI shape balances this pivot with enough base area to maintain drive through the bottom turn and enough foil depth to hold in overhead surf without washing out.
