The Dakine Mission Noserider is a tailor-fit boardbag engineered specifically for longboards. Every dimension, zipper placement, and internal layout is optimized for the longer, wider outline of a noserider or traditional longboard, so your board sits snug rather than rattling inside a bag designed for a shortboard.
Ten millimeters of closed-cell foam padding lines the interior, giving the bag enough protection to double as an extended travel bag when you need it. The design philosophy is clear: maximum protection without unnecessary weight. Dakine achieved this by pairing a lightweight 600D diamond ripstop top with a heat-reflecting energy shield bottom, keeping the exterior tough and the interior cool even when the bag sits on hot pavement or in a warm vehicle.
Construction and Materials
The 600D diamond ripstop top panel is both abrasion-resistant and light. Where shortboard bags might use heavier material throughout, this bag reserves the weight savings for the top where abrasion is less of a concern, and puts the heat-reflecting energy shield on the bottom where ground contact and sun exposure are highest.
All closures use YKK hardware. The main zipper is a heavy-duty YKK molded zipper with internal rail protection, preventing the zipper track from pressing directly against your board's rails during transport. The stash pocket uses a YKK PU-coated zipper, adding a water-resistant barrier that protects valuables from rain and splash. Metal hardware throughout replaces plastic at load-bearing attachment points for long-term durability.
TPU venting is built into the bag to allow moisture and heat to escape without compromising weather resistance, an important detail for boards stored after a session before they fully dry.
Organization and Carry
Internal fin storage keeps fins secure and separated from the board deck during transport. A dedicated zippered fin slot on the exterior provides quick access without opening the main compartment. The external stash pocket adds valuables storage that is accessible without unzipping the bag.
A padded, removable shoulder strap makes carrying a longboard manageable solo. The padded carry handle visible at the top of the bag provides an alternative grip for shorter carries between the car and the water.
