The Roark Serrano 5" Short is the Run Amok line's most relaxed expression of athletic intent. Constructed from a lightweight REPREVE recycled polyester blend with a DWR water-resistant finish, this short handles everything from a morning trail run to a late-afternoon coffee run without missing a beat. The unlined construction keeps it versatile and breathable across conditions.
REPREVE Recycled Construction
REPREVE is Unifi's certified recycled fiber technology, spun from reclaimed plastic bottles. Pairing it with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish means the Serrano sheds light moisture and dries fast, without the stiffness of traditional woven shorts. The 10% elastane in the fabric blend provides the four-way stretch that keeps the short moving with you rather than against you.
Pocket System and Hardware
Four pockets are standard on the Serrano, each placed for real-world use. Two slash pockets provide open-hand access on both sides. A side stash pocket with a YKK zipper secures your key or card while you move. A rear patch pocket with its own YKK zipper closure handles anything you need on your back. YKK hardware throughout means the zippers hold up to repeated use and salt air.
Fit and Waistband
The elastic waistband with exterior drawstring gives a locked-in fit without a belt loop or button closure to dig in during activity. At a 5" inseam and 15" outseam, the Serrano sits above the knee with enough coverage to move from sport to street. The unlined build eliminates bulk and makes layering under a wetsuit straightforward.
