The Swellsole Pier is named for Reef's SwellSole platform, which uses the thickest, softest, most premium EVA formulation in Reef's lineup. EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) is the same lightweight foam found in high-performance athletic midsoles, but Reef's version is tuned for all-day wear rather than sprint cushioning. The result is a midsole that absorbs impact, returns energy, and stays light on the foot over a full day of walking.
Inside the shoe, a maximum memory foam liner molds to the contours of the foot, filling in where the midsole leaves off.
