Who It's For

North Beach Oceanside Park suits families, swimmers, and anglers who'd rather skip the bigger crowds farther south. By far the largest and most shaded park along Miami Beach, it draws a low-key mix of joggers and picnickers, especially around 79th and 87th St.

Parking & Access

The park sits at 8328 Collins Ave in Miami Beach. Street parking is metered, and the shaded grounds make for an easy walk in once you find a spot.

Rules & Safety

Miami Beach Ocean Rescue keeps lifeguards on duty here year-round, not just seasonally, so watch for posted flags before swimming. Rip currents and occasional seaweed are the hazards to plan around. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park, though not on the beach itself; the fenced Bark Beach area between 80th and 81st St runs off-leash Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.

What's There

Restrooms, showers, and grills with picnic tables are set up on site, and a few stretches of shoreline work for snorkeling. The shaded corridor near 79th and 87th St is a favorite for jogging and just getting away from the busier parts of Miami Beach.
