The Dakine Wideload surf traction pad is built for boards that need more coverage than a standard pad provides. At 14 inches wide, it is designed for wide board shapes, shortboards ridden by bigger surfers, and alternative shapes where a narrower pad would leave the tail underprotected.

The three piece layout spreads grip across the full width of a wider tail, which matters most on step up shortboards, wide tailed grovelers, and other alternative shapes where deck feel and stability both count.

Materials and Packaging

Like the rest of the Dakine traction lineup, the Wideload pad is made from biodegradable Friendly Foam, ships in plastic free packaging, and bonds to the deck with marine grade 3M adhesive built to hold up in saltwater conditions. Dakine has built its reputation over more than a quarter century designing surf and board sport accessories for top professionals.
