580G Polarized Glass Lenses
The Tybee is fitted with Costa's 580G lens system, the brand's flagship glass polarized lens. The "580" designation means the lens selectively blocks the yellow and blue light wavelengths most responsible for glare and visual fatigue while enhancing red, green, and blue contrast. The result is exceptional color resolution and sharpness that plastic lenses cannot match.
Glass delivers superior scratch resistance and optical clarity compared to polycarbonate. The 580G lens is ground to a Base 6 curve, which keeps the lens close to the face for full peripheral coverage without distortion at the edges.
