Description

Same shape as the Nova FutureFlex, built to a higher spec. The Nova outline is a high speed small wave driver: wider through the middle to carry momentum past a dead section, extra area in the nose and tail to get moving, medium rocker to stay lively once it is.

CarbonYx is the most advanced of the three Haydenshapes constructions. It is faster, more sensitive and tuned for a higher level of precision when you push it through a critical section, and it holds composure across a wider range of conditions than either PU or FutureFlex on their own. It is the version of this board for a surfer who is already good enough that the board is the limiting factor.

Ride it 2 to 4 inches shorter than your standard shortboard, or straight to your target volume.

We have one, a 6'0" with Futures boxes. Surfboards at Island Water Sports are in store pickup only. Fins sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is CarbonYx?
The most advanced of the three Haydenshapes constructions. It is faster and more sensitive than FutureFlex, tuned for precision through critical sections, and holds composure across the widest range of conditions of the three.
Is CarbonYx worth the step up from FutureFlex?
It is, if the board is currently the thing holding you back. If you are still working on generating your own speed, the FutureFlex Nova does the same job for less money and we would rather sell you that one.
What size Nova should I ride?
Two to four inches shorter than your standard shortboard, or straight to your usual target volume.
What fins does it take?
It is a five box setup, so you can run it as a thruster or a quad depending on the day. Ours takes Futures. Fins are sold separately.
Can I have it shipped?
No. Every surfboard at Island Water Sports is in store pickup only, collected at our Deerfield Beach store.
