What the Kit Contains
Every kit ships with everything needed for a complete field repair:

Designed for Epoxy Boards
Epoxy construction requires a chemically compatible repair compound. Using a standard polyester resin on an epoxy blank can cause delamination and further damage. The FCS Simple Patch Epoxy kit is formulated specifically for EPS (expanded polystyrene) core boards laminated with epoxy resin, which includes the majority of modern performance shortboards, fish, and hybrid shapes built on epoxy blanks. Do not use this kit on traditional polyester-resin boards.
How to Use
FCS designed the Simple Patch system for straightforward field repair:
- Ensure the ding area is clean and completely dry before beginning. Even a small amount of moisture trapped under the patch will compromise adhesion.
- Apply the Simple Patch Repair Fill to any void or crack, smoothing it flush with the board surface.
- Allow the fill to cure fully before applying a patch over the repaired area.
- Select the appropriate patch size for the repair. Use a Regular Simple Patch for smaller nicks and a Large Simple Patch for wider impacts or rail dings.
- Press the patch firmly from the center outward to eliminate air bubbles, then allow a full cure before returning to the water.
