Globe G1 Orbit Complete: Pro-Quality Build, Ready to Skate

The Globe G1 Orbit Complete is Globe's benchmark street-ready setup, factory assembled and built to perform from the first push. Globe has been shaping boardsports culture since the mid-1980s, and the G1 series brings that heritage to a complete that holds its own at any park, plaza, or street spot.

Every component is spec'd for real skating, not shelf display. Pull it out of the box and it is ready to go.

Resin-7 Hard Rock Maple Construction

The G1 Orbit deck is pressed with Globe's proprietary Resin-7 construction, which uses a resin-based glue system instead of the water-based adhesives found in lower-tier boards. The result is a deck that retains pop and structural integrity significantly longer through sessions. Full concave and full kick give the board responsive snap for flip tricks, ollies, and technical street lines. The deck graphic on the G1 Orbit features a bold swirling orbit motif on a deep navy base, printed across a clean canvas that shows up whether the board is on the shelf or mid-trick.

Tensor Alloy Trucks

Globe fits the G1 Orbit with Tensor Alloy trucks, a genuine performance truck used by sponsored riders. High-rebound 92a durometer urethane bushings are included from the factory, delivering a responsive, lively turn without the slop of budget alternatives. Tensor's geometry promotes smooth carving between obstacles and predictable response under hard landings.

Wheels and Bearings Built for Street and Park

The 53mm wheels run a 99a street durometer, the sweet spot for smooth concrete, skatepark floors, and mellow asphalt. Hard enough for tight slides and fast enough to carry speed between gaps, they are spec'd at the same durometer level as wheels sold individually to experienced skaters.

The sealed ABEC-7 bearings are a meaningful step above the ABEC-5 bearings used in many competing completes and well beyond the ABEC-3 units found in big-box store boards, which can lock up under load. Globe's bearing choice is a safety and performance decision, not a marketing line.

Split Griptape and Factory Assembly

The top sheet is finished with Split Black griptape, applied at the Globe factory before shipping. The board arrives fully assembled: trucks mounted, wheels and bearings set, hardware torqued, and grip applied. No tools, no guesswork. Open the box and skate.

Versatile Terrain Performance

The G1 Orbit's component balance covers the full range of street and transition skating. The hard street wheels and responsive trucks suit technical flatground and ledge lines; the full concave and kick profile handle vert, mini ramp, and park equally well. It is a legitimate all-terrain build, not a marketing claim.

About Globe

Globe was founded in Melbourne, Australia by the Hill brothers in the mid-1980s, beginning with production and distribution for third-party boardsports brands through Hardcore Enterprises. The brothers launched Globe as their own global brand in the mid-1990s, starting with footwear for skaters and surfers and expanding into apparel and hardgoods. The G1 series reflects that decades-long commitment to performance-first construction at an accessible price point.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Globe G1 Orbit a good complete skateboard?
Yes. The G1 Orbit uses Globe's Resin-7 hard rock maple construction, Tensor Alloy trucks, 99a street wheels, and sealed ABEC-7 bearings. These are the same component categories experienced skaters spec individually, assembled at the Globe factory and ready to skate out of the box.
What makes Globe boards different from cheap big-box store completes?
Globe uses Resin-7 resin-based glue (not water-based adhesives), Tensor Alloy trucks, 99a street durometer wheels, and sealed ABEC-7 bearings. Big-box store boards typically use ABEC-3 bearings, which do not spin freely and can lock up under normal use. The Globe G1 is a pro-quality build, not a toy-grade setup.
What terrain is the Globe G1 Orbit Complete designed for?
The G1 Orbit is designed for street, park, vert, plaza, and freestyle skating. The full concave, full kick, hard street wheels, and responsive Tensor trucks cover all of those disciplines without compromise.
Does the Globe G1 Orbit come assembled?
Yes. Globe factory assembles the G1 Orbit with trucks mounted, wheels and bearings set, hardware torqued, and Split Black griptape applied. It arrives ready to skate with no additional setup required.
What bearings does the Globe G1 Orbit use?
Sealed professional-grade ABEC-7 bearings. These are a step up from the ABEC-5 bearings used in many competing completes and significantly better than the ABEC-3 units found in budget boards.
Where can I buy the Globe G1 Orbit Complete?
The Globe G1 Orbit Complete is available at Island Water Sports in store and online.
Is the Globe G1 Orbit good for beginners?
Yes. The factory-assembled setup removes the guesswork of building a first board, and the pro-quality components mean a beginner is not held back by gear that wears out quickly or performs unpredictably. The full concave and responsive trucks also make learning proper technique easier than on budget setups.
