The Pro-Lite Armored Coffin is the go-to multi-board travel bag for surfers who bring their quiver and need it to arrive intact. Designed specifically for trips where three to four boards make the journey, this bag layers serious protection at every contact point so your boards survive checked baggage handling and long hauls.
How many boards fit depends on each board's individual width, thickness, and volume. Five standard performance shortboards around 2.5 inches thick or less will easily fit. If a couple of boards run closer to 3 inches thick, four boards is the practical limit. The bag accounts for real-world quivers, not just the slimmest scenario.
Armored Protection System
Pro-Lite engineered the Armored Coffin around a multi-layer protection approach. The shell is 600 Denier Cube-Tech Poly material with 10mm foam padding throughout, giving the bag its impact-absorbing backbone. Top and bottom body armor panels add rigidity and extra protection at the zones most exposed to baggage handling abuse.
The signature feature is the removable and customizable rail guard inflatable system. Inflatable rail guards let you dial in the pressure and coverage to match your boards, protecting the rails where dings most often start. Unlike fixed padding, they adapt to different board profiles within the same bag.
One internal divider and one padded 3mm board packer bag are included, keeping boards separated and reducing board-on-board contact during travel.
Hardware Built to Last
Molded non-corrosive zippers handle the salt air and humidity that destroy standard hardware over time. Molded rubber handles on the nose and side give you grip without the corrosion risk of metal hardware. Tie down loops let you lash the bag securely in vehicles or on roof racks.
A vent built into the bag allows airflow to keep your boards cool in transit, reducing heat buildup that can delaminate pressure-sensitive constructions.
Organization That Keeps You Moving
Multiple interior storage and fin pockets handle fins and accessories without loose items rattling against your boards. Interior seat belt straps secure the stack inside the bag before you zip it. Four exterior compression straps cinch the profile down when you are carrying fewer boards. An exterior side pocket holds tie down straps, and an external wax and key pocket keeps essentials accessible without opening the main compartment.
