The Globe G2 Sprawl Complete is a fully assembled, ready-to-skate setup built for riders who want a proven platform without the guesswork of spec matching. Globe has been producing boards since the mid-1990s under the direction of Melbourne's Hill brothers, and the G2 line reflects decades of refinement in hardgoods construction and graphic detail.
Deck Construction
The deck is pressed from Resin-7 hard rock maple, Globe's proprietary laminate process that uses a high-strength resin to bond seven plies of maple under controlled pressure. The result is a board that holds its pop longer than standard cold-press decks and responds consistently underfoot. Full concave is shaped into the deck for locked-in foot feel during ollies, kickflips, and rail tricks.
Metropolypse Graphic
The Sprawl graphic wraps the bottom of the deck in a design styled to resemble a social media feed laid over aerial urban photography. The composition plays on the way cities sprawl outward when viewed from above, translated here into a layered, screen-printed finish with strong contrast and fine detail across the full deck surface.
Trucks
Globe spec'd 5.25" Tensor hollow kingpin trucks for this setup. Tensor's hollow kingpin construction removes material from the axle center while maintaining strength, dropping weight noticeably compared to solid kingpin designs. Tensor trucks are known for a low center of gravity that suits technical street skating and keeps the board responsive on flat ground and ledges.
Wheels
The setup rolls on 53mm wheels poured at 101a durometer. At 101a, the urethane is on the harder end of the street spectrum, which minimizes wheel deformation during slides and grinds and keeps acceleration sharp on smooth pavement. The 53mm diameter balances quick acceleration with enough roll speed for gap work and street lines.
Grip Tape
Split black grip tape is applied from the factory. The split application leaves a clean graphic reveal at the split line while still providing full coverage traction across the standing platform.
